Scholarship Award
The Hartford Police Hispanic Officers Association awards $1000 scholarships to a graduating seniors who will move on to college. Applications are accepted until October of each calendar year and presented to each recipient at the HOA Annual Christmas Party. Recipients are selected by the Scholarship Committee on a non-discriminatory basis.
Criteria
- Recipient must attend a school in the City of Hartford.
- The applicants must submit the following after the online application process:
- A copy of the college or university acceptance letter
- Three letters of recommendation from someone who is not a family member
- An official high school transcript (a minimum C average or 2.0 GPA in the last marking period is required).
- A 500 word essay explaining what this scholarship will mean to you and a brief description of career goals.
